You have a PlusBus ticket allowing you to travel on almost all scheduled bus services in West Yorkshire. Your starting and finishing point is Leeds bus station. You want to use as many operators as possible. Where would you go with all that freedom? Have done Arriva's 110 but am fine with using it again to connect with something else in Wakefield. Interested in Holmfirth ("Last of the Summer Wine" fan) but don't want to spend more than an hour there. Also strangely fascinated with the name Heckmondwike (I'm a Londoner regularly visiting daughter and grandson on Belle isle Road).

I did this on Saturday just gone, albeit with a day rover from Wetherby (free parking!). I explored bits of the new Arriva network then turned my attention to trying out some scenic routes and Transdev's newer vehicles. My day went: X99 to Leeds 202 to White Rose 201 to Morley 200 to Birstall 281 to Retail Park 229 to Heckmondwike 229 to Huddersfield 901 to Hebden Bridge (gorgeous route!) B3 to Keighley 60 to Shipley 737 to Airport 757 to Leeds X99 to Wetherby

From a passenger point of view, it entertains me

However you've got 3 stops for people to board at without looking at the destination board.

Ideally, we should of shown 56 Eastgate on the front from Moor Grange. But to save a lot of hassle, the majority of us 56 drivers showed X56 from Moor Grange. We had standing time at Eastage/Vicar Lane so I used to tell passengers. Had a few bell rings for the early stops on York Road, but I personally didn’t stop til Burger King, harsh as it sounds to say, but once you make a mistake, you learn from it, so always check the front of the bus. I’m currently on a short term loan to Halifax, so haven’t done the route since they changed the running boards.

When I was a Bramley driver, I showed X56 from Moor Grange as I always used to run the 1st afternoon X56 of the day. Always got to Eastgate early so I used to tell all the passengers that it is an X56 service to Swarcliffe and Whinmoor, that it doesn't go through Cross Gates and the next stop will be Burger King. I then repeated it yet still had people ring the bell up York Road.

Last Saturday, March 23rd, was Halifax & Huddersfield. As a 262 was heavily delayed I had to make do with a 549. Other than that, some good scenic routes. I stayed Friday night in Halifax, then my itin was as follows:
537 Huddersfield - First 32464 228 Brighouse - Arriva 1529 563 Halifax - Yorkshire Tiger 409 20a Mixenden - Yorkshire Tiger 619 512 Halifax - First 69584 255 Bailiff Bridge - Arriva 1976 X63 Huddersfield - First 37083 549 Brighouse - First 69208
Then a refurb Northern 150/2 to Manchester Victoria to get home from there.
