Looks like Team Pennine have started a clear out! Saw an image of 2204 (Ex AY 1601) (which looks like the back of it will fall off!) getting towed to the scrap yard (idk which), believe its because of a broken suspension. Could be wrong though.

Of the 15, 10 are for Rosso (inc the first four above), 5 are for Team Pennine (inc 383/4). Team Pennine 175, 178, 721, 1211-3, 1221, 1223, 1225, 1403, 1404, 2002 to 2205 and 2799 are now considered withdrawn. All remain in stock, mostly at Blackburn but some disposals will start soon. All others remain on fleet either in use or under/awaiting repair. Reports of the disposal of 1211 and 2204 are incorrect.

Also 1403 is actually heading to Rosso I believe and 1404 don't know what is going on but I doubt it's withdrawn as at the Team Pennine Preview day I remember one of the lads saying the Tempos surprisingly won't be withdrawn.

Long Enviros can run Halifax routes now as the only bus routes that werent capible for them were 546, 561, 562 and 577 but now they are served by the Mercedes-Benz Mellor Stratas. As well as this the 534 would struggle however the Mini Enviro 200MMCs do cope well.

As well as this the 534 would struggle however the Mini Enviro 200MMCs do cope well. They'll have assessed the possibility of e200s when they've had the MMCs on loan from Waterloo. The reason why Elland depot primarily consisted of Solos was to allow flexibility across the routes. When Elland finally started to gain deckers these would only appear on the Rye Lanes and Claremount routes as these routes were always deckered majority of the time under Halifax Joint Committee as they always blended in to the school work during term-time. The Tempos (773-776 at the time) would only stay on the Rochdales and 574.

Rosso have a ton of older buses and school routes. Notice how Rosso haven't had a brand new bus for 3 years (except the Little Hotline/Ribble Country however those don't really operate in Rosso territory). Rosso's buses recently have all been previously used and are deployed on their vast network of school and local services. They get a lot of funding from TfGM to meet a minimum emissions standard on their buses, as I believe TfGM even have a minimum emissions standard for school buses as well.

Everyone thought this with 1408 and disagreed with me that it was recieving refurbishments and I'm positive 1403 is indeed off to Rosso and 1404 is stored. Unless it has changed but last time I asked a lad in the preview day he said that Tempos 1401-1403 were going to be used for Rosso School Contracts.

There needs to be a reminder of what âwithdrawnâ means. It doesnât always mean itâs being towed to a scrap yard as we speak, it may mean itâs just not in an active fleet at the moment.
In a fleet like Transdev that often cascade buses via a refurbishment/repaint (unlike First or Arriva who would just cascade a bus from Leeds to Halifax and itâd barely have a day out of service) itâs normal for modern buses to be withdrawn.

I don't agree - withdrawn is removed from the fleet - or more specifically from the license. Having a bus out for repaint, repair, MOT etc isn't withdrawal.
