Of course you could always try "googling" South Yorkshire Motors. It will give you details of the original company and several others who have all used the same name.
Why do you want someone else to do the work for you

Shame that they weren't a success. The added competition in the Pontefract area would nt have been a bad thing. But like all other small independents that are run poorly it was only going to end in disaster.

It would be interesting to know why you state "Shame they weren't a success". You should check for facts before making a comment.
If memory serves the original South Yorkshire started before WW1 and were around for a considerable number of years and sold out(in 1994 I think) to Caldaire Holdings(West Riding) which eventually became part of Arriva. Some form of success surely. A number of their buses are preserved to this day.
There was another South Yorkshire which was an arms length company company setup when S Yorkshire PTE were no longer allowed(by law) to run buses services a few years after deregulation in 1986. This company was sold to it's management in 1993(Stagecoach had a 20% stake I think) and was sold on again in 1995 to First Group.

Oh am very aware of the facts of the original company its start. the buyouts and the vehicles that are in preservation. The south Yorkshire motors i was actually talking about was the company that started around the mid 2000s not the original!
