Just wondering what these buses will be replaced with. Halifax have quite a lot of them I've noticed. Will they just replace them with conventional buses. Thanks in advance.

Halifax BMC 1100fe 68515 - 68548 will be staying along with BMC Condors 68705-08 & 68710. All the rest at Halifax depot will be disposed of. Enviro 400s are coming from Leeds also.

When I lived in Brighouse in the 80s. They just used Fleetlines on most school services.

I suppose if the Enviros cover the Gemini B7s then they would be freed up for school use.

I was looking at a fleet list from 2018. I counted nearly 80 of these buses still in the WY fleet. Shared between Halifax, Bradford and Huddersfield. On a recent fleet list there only seems to be around 40 approx.
They seem to be gradually disappearing. Yet you never hear where they end up? Are some going for scrap as there never seems to be any pics on the net with a new operator?

Several are in use over in the North West and the 3 that got withdrawn from service with Ct Plus and Powells are up for sale.

Over 50 of these vehicles have been sold by auction to other operators, including 12 to Lancashire, 11 to Wales, 10 to Scotland and the rest all over the place, including a couple locally in Huddersfield. How many of them are actually running is another matter.

My brutal assessment on these is as follows, so look away now if you happened to be the fool who ordered these. The whole lot need scrapping, terrible performers in terms of speed and fuel from the start, I very much doubt the emissions modifications would have made them any greener with the amount of fuel used and noise created. What an absolute waste of money bearing in mind an ordinary everyday second hand bus with modifications could have done the job without the additional fuel and emissions conversion at a fraction of the cost, as has recently been proven when Metro ditched these god dam awful yellow tw*ts on wheels! You don't half come across some people in life who come up with costly unnecessary ideas.

At least Transdev adapted some of their Volvo Wright Renowns to the same seating capacity/configuration.

This is what you get with public sector procurement
BMC will have come in cheapest meeting the specification and with tax payers money on the line, there is no justification for going with a more expensive bid

Well it looks like the 10 or so Falcons at Halifax are on their way out. A pic of one at Halifax, withdrawn and awaiting its final journey on Firstbus FB page. They are supposed be all out by March.
