saw the X16 this evening with 1person on it in leeds city centre, doesn't look like a route a small independant would take on!

It's a perfect route for a small independent. A peak time route rejected by the previous operator and therefore picked up by Metro as a tender. And because it's a tender, Godson's get paid whether there is 1 person on board or a full standing load.

If they time it well, just before a 117/202/203 from Shaw Cross into Leeds, the bus could be full to standing and likewise on the return.
Will the bus be used elsewhere during the day on another service or will it just go back to the depot and wait for the return leg?

If they delibrately did that wouldnt Arriva complain that a tendered service is pinching passengers from a commercial service when tendered services are meant to complement not compete with commercial services?
