Heard today that Transdev are giving up the 845, 846 & 847 as Metro want to replace them all with a two hourly service starting 2nd September.

I understand that WYCA/Metro are looking at a number of options to meet required budget savings across the region, so quite possible the 845/6/7 might be on the hit list.

Can understand that, seems a bit of a waste trekking over from Keighley for a two-hourly service. Any idea of route? I'm thinking the daytime route will alternate 846 and 847, one bus psr, with the evening as present.

Probably best to wait and see as if it changes in September the tender won't even have been issued yet never mind won by anyone.

They always seems lightly loaded whenever I see them, which is usually in the peaks. Suspect a lot of fare payers purchase First tickets and are happy to walk a bit further for a more frequent service with the services only really being of use to the concessionary travel holders
Always thought it would make sense to merge the 847 and 635

TLC have gained 2 routes. 643 & 644, wondering if these are the replacements for the 846/7?

TLC have gained 2 routes. 643 & 644, wondering if these are the replacements for the 846/7? The 845/6/7 weren't retendered, as they are part of the WYCA funding reductions, but I believe existing contracts were to be amended to provide partial replacements.
