Former ANE 7626 has just left Leeds Bus Station on a 202 or 203 wearing fleet number 1551 but still has NE X12 branding. you'd have thought they'd have sent back the ones AY sent up recently rather then different. I initially thought that but it's different depots affected so would have meant extra movement / dead milage when really they're exactly same vehicle. Also 1751 is same dark blue colour as the 19xxs

Four MAX spec Geminis from Durham are due to swap with four 202/203 Enviro 400s. 7618/9 and 7626/7 for 1915-18.
The reason for the swap is down to route allocation - the Enviro 400s will eventually end up at Ashington for X15 Newcastle to Berwick. The 15 reg Enviro 400 is regarded as a strong vehicle for high speed running on the A1 in Northumberland, so these four will be used to supplement the existing similar vehicles at Ashington.
The Geminis will be mixed in with the Enviro 400s on 202 203, so vehicles in the same livery as those was part of the requirement.

Maybe this will eventually eliminate the oddity of route X12 (Newcastle - Durham) being mixed Gemini / Pulsar albeit MAX examples.

Seems to make sense for all new vehicles going forward to be numbered in a common sequence to save the need for renumbering when they move around. Most of the other big groups seem to do this.

Sadly I imagine that they're only going to be temp at Selby - About time Selby gets some more decent vehicles. Not really too bothered about the 10--'s personally but i really like the 1400's.

Selby need to get rid of those dreaded Lowlanders - Cant remember the last time I saw one on the 402/3 - The route they're supposed to be branded for. Is there a specific reason why they aren't on the route anymore?

I do see both LowLanders and Olympus’es on the 402/403 around Crossgates

When I come home from work all I see is Lowlanders.. I use it quite often and it's a mixture at the moment, even the odd Pulsar. I think this is because Selby depot have been using Darwens on 415 to try and maintain former Max/future Sapphire standard (headrest and charging points) whilst Geminis are getting refurbed. I really appreciate the headrest on the Darwens on the 403!
