Ex Arriva North East Hybrid 1716 seen in Wakefield today on service 444. Hi Stevie, what livery was it in please? Saw 703 on a 446 seems extreme using Spectras on a Rothwell service when extra hybrid has arrived.

It was in Arriva North east Max livery. Looked as though it was unaltered since its move.

I saw one in Stourton this evening on southbound 444/6 route near Thwaite Gate, however it was displaying "Sorry Not in Service". Perhaps it was running late and catching up? I'm unaware of any boards/workings so early that would have a bus running empty to depot past that point. Sorry, didn't catch the FN though.

These Volvo B5LHs for 5 locations outside London have now been condensed into just 2 locations. Those from Manchester then those from Maidstone have joined others in Liverpool. Now those from Newcastle have joined the others in Leeds.

Both First (17/18) and Stagecoach (192+many random routes) have hybrids on routes in GM, Arriva no longer. Does anyone know which route the Newcastle hybrids have come off please? The one I saw just had "MAX" on side. No route/service number.Thanks.

More NE/Yorkshire swaps taking place:
E200 YJ09CVA/B have moved from Dewsbury to Durham and are now NE 1329/30. They eventually allow NE Solos 2826 (YJ08 XBF) from Whitby and 2831 (YJ08 XBM) from Blyth to transfer to Selby to allow the two Mini Solos to return to Jesmond to update the Whitby Park & Ride fleet. Was talk of a few Commanders moving north when the Tempos were rejected - given the Cadets here are now undergoing MOTs, it appears those plans have been scrapped.

Just shame there isn't a common fleet numbering scheme across Arriva, it would save effort in renumbering, especially if inter-regional movements are going to become more common. Does anyone know if anything has gone north in return for the two "Max" livery hybrids at Wakefield?

There is a like for like swap (in terms of numbers). 10 Hybrids (NK13AZA/B/C/D/F/G/J/L/N/O) coming south and 10 conventional diesel Gemini's (1525-7/30-5/42) going north. Penfold

1719 (NK13 AZL) in LCC on 117 this morning.
I noted that front fleet number is applied using yellow transfers. Normally it is in aquamarine transfers on the Max livery. I'm wondering if the yellow variation is to denote hybrid vehicles?
Does anyone know if hybrids, when repainted, will have a different variation of the new livery? E.g green section in front of the swoop, like where it is dark blue on the new Sapphire livery. Thanks.

Probably just the only ones to hand.
They will probably not get repainted, they were only repainted from Hybrid to MAX last year
There is a new version of the hybrid livery though, seen on buses in the North West

Thanks Arriva Wakefield and Westyorkshirebus for explanations about the Hybrid livery. I should have known that! The amount of hybrids I normally see in Liverpool, just not been into Liverpool City Centre for a while.
I can't see why any of the Gemini hybrid wouldn't eventually be re-painted into the new hybrid livery. Renumbering off 444/6 route 44 and 45 would be a good way to market these services, a bit like Transdev with the stripping of the seven. As one of the routes my place is on, I've always thought "444" is a bit of a mouthful!
Passed Selby depot earlier on train and noticed 2831 was parked up there with Blyth/Morpeth service branding! These are bigger than those two that were brought down in the grey/red livery, aren't they.

Selby now have 499,1408,1409,1411 and two lowlanders with major accident damage so 499 still going strong Im guessing that the Spectras were damaged following the recent snow - I was told that one of them lost control in the snow and ended up going off road - Is this true? Which 2 Lowlanders are currently off the road?

I travelled on 1719 on Friday on service 117 and it didn't have the 444 branding then. I wonder if they'll apply the "Grand Yorkshire Connections" too. They don't seem to have maintained this on the Geminis/ADL400s following accident damage repair. However, they're obviously still keen to make something of the old Max livery, despite it not being in the current livery set.

I travelled on 1721 on the 444 on Friday evening. I'm assuming that will be the last numbered swap?
