I've seen quite a few with new destination equipment, although I keep mistaking them for the Dewsbury ALX200 Darts!

Apologies if this matter has already been clarified elsewhere, but I'm confused... Is this mostly blue livery to become standard Arriva livery in time? I know it was originally an "interurban" livery - there's a vague description if ever you heard one - but now it seems that any bus on any service can get this paintwork, which incidentally is an improvement in my opinion but possibly only because it's refreshing to see any Arriva bus in something other than the standard livery!

I think it is only Arriva Yorkshire who are treating the interurban livery like this? The new B7RLEs were delivered in standard livery so it's still current

So all Arriva subsidiaries are supposed to only apply the livery for interurban use, but Arriva Yorkshire have bent the rules? I do wonder what exactly Arriva's policy is on the definition of interurban, and why they feel the need to separate it by using a similar livery to the original.

There's quite a few Alexander ALX300s with Bright-tec still in aquamarine livery, I would imagine they have been re-used from withdrawn Lances or Alexander ALX400s as I have seen a few of them running around with Hanovers.

Same here, think the Hanovers look much better than the Bright-tec blinds and much more modern and professional.

Transdev use Mobitec which are much higher quality equipment than Hanover's and Bright Tech.

Call me old fashioned but I think I will always prefer conventional roller blinds (as long as they are large and bright enough). Obviously automated roller blinds are much better than their manual counterparts though!
(Yes I know, very off topic...)

The alignment of text/numbers on Bright Techs seem problematic as you can see with Arriva's buses. They also don't show well in photos unlike Hanovers and Mobitecs.

The new B7RLEs were delivered in standard livery so it's still current Arriva North East's new Optare Solos in Darlington wear interurban livery for the Darlington town services, not exactly interurban routes. The livery seems to be getting abused now and has lost its original meaning.

It isn't really Arriva's new livery as such as other new buses are entering service in normal aquamarine livery.

Am not sure on this but when the lowlanders came i was talking to my friend who works in marketing at arriva and he is involved with the rout branding's and the new buses with this new livery but as they were coming he said the new livery is for the more direct routs that are town to own or city that call at towns so people can identify the quick routs eg leeds to Wakefield you have the 110 or 254 both with new buses one takes very little time compared to the other and i think the rest speaks for itself.

I can't see someone ending up on the 254 at Wakefield wanting to go to Leeds on it as the driver would say get the 110 from Northgate.
So if the Alexander ALX300s are getting painted into interurban livery, are they going to be used on a direct town to town route or just be used anywhere at many depots.
Could the interurban livery just end up like a failed Barbie 2 livery by First which was used so passengers would recognise that it is a step entrance bus. However general concensus proved that people didn't distinguish the difference in bus by livery.

Why does 446 have green grab handles whereas the rest of teh ALX 300's have yellow ones?

Why does 446 have green grab handles whereas the rest of teh ALX 300's have yellow ones? ALX 300 with green handles would actually be ALX200's with a dennis Dart slf chassis. these buses can beat boy racers!

No, there is one ALX 300 (446) with green handles. From memory it also has blue lighting (like those that prevent addicts from identifying a vein in the Leeds Bus Stn toilets) inside the bus instead of the usual fluorescent lights. It was at Desbury originally but now lives at Belle Isle I believe. Just wondered why this one doesnt have the usual yellow handles.

hmm strange, maybe it was part of a referb and replaced the handles with green ones maybe because they had no yellow ones lol. are the seats the same fabric as the rest?
