Lothian's versions seem to be popular with the public. Nearly always full, as is usual for Edinburgh. I've seen plenty up there, but as yet not had the chance to ride on one. A surprise choice for Stagecoach though. Maybe the prelude for ordering more Wright products, breaking ADL's monopoly on Stagecoach orders. Has Brian Souter bought some shares in Wrights?.

It may simply be that ADL aren't able/willing to build one with the MMC body (in the same way that they weren't able/willing to re-engineer the E500 to be supplied to the UK market when Ensigns approached them for a 3-axle decker), it had got to a point before Lothian persuaded Wrights to offer this model where the only options for an open-topper were from MCV or one of the Chinese builders (as used by Big Bus in London).
