With the exception of the 9? I've always felt it would make a lot of sense having First do services to Rothwell, Woodlesford, Kippax, Swillington, et cetera. If residents of those places needed to get across Leeds. surely it would be easier for them having to fork out the best part of a fiver for an Arriva dayrider, then another fiver for a First dayrider.
I know Arriva have enough services in that area, but then they do along the Dewsbury Road/Morley corridor as well.

When i was a child and lived in Rothwell we had the number 7 which was run by Yorkshire rider that went all the way through to headingley. But it went a slightly longer route as it did wood lane than full length of haigh road then down over the hump back bridge to Thwaite gate

There's no need to be spending that much for a day's bus travel is there? £6 on the bus will buy you a 'MetroDay' valid on all buses or £5.50 if you put a 'DaySaver' onto a pink or white MCard. (£5 each if you buy 3 or more at a time!)

LCT never went beyond the old city boundary at Thwaite Gate. The number 7 terminated/started at the garage there and displayed 'Hunslet' as the destination. West Riding operated most of the services that continued beyond there to Wakefield, Rothwell, Woodlesford etc. originally operating trams to Wakefield and Rothwell later replaced by buses (the red ones). Rothwell originally had two red routes to Leeds(11 and 12 or 13 and 14 I can't remember)plus the 92 (green). In later years these were combined into the 91, 92, 93 and 94 depending on the route in Rothwell. These eventually became todays 444. In PTE days the 7 was extended to Rothwell but at a later date it disappeared. The 8/9 is a recent addition in PTE days. Kippax used to be served by Wallace Arnolds Kippax and District subsidiary as well as West Riding. I'm not sure if these routes continued when WA sold out to LCT. There were no LCT services beyond the Leeds boundary originally and the 18 was extended to Garforth in PTE days I think.
