Max Gemini on 229 today ran from Huddersfield to Leeds only to have an oil leak message bleeping and the bus was changed over for 1105 at Heckmondwike only for that to brakedown In Birstall town centre. A restart/reboot was required and got moving again only to pack in completely just up the road at Birstall retail Park. Poor driver and passengers had to change twice if boarded before hecky!

Nothing unusual with a Holme Valley Connect bus to be on a route other than those the buses are supposed to allocated to. So common these days that it does not appear to be a rarity.

But, yes, how silly of me, to think, that a branded route vehicle would stay on, said branded routes. I, know that Arriva's branded one's (229/254/255) tend to interwork more on Sundays, which is why I thought, it was unusual for the Holme Valley Connect liveried bus, being on, on a Saturday.

If all this inter working takes place why both with route branding

Last night about 11:30, a first Huddersfield X63 branded bus ( out of service ) went down Bradley rd to head back to depot, at the bottom, instead of turning right to head back on Leeds road to the depot, he turned left, went to cooper bridge roundabout and turned back to Leeds road ! A pointless 1/2 mile detour !

We have a couple of new drivers and I think one of them brought this into the depot but not sure though

Where he was coming from to be going down Bradley Road I don't know, unless it was a 328 or 360 misallocated. If it's the one that ends at Brighouse I would have thought using Wakefield Road would be the scheduled route?

IIRC it comes off Knottingleys at 1530, parks up for 20 mins and then does 2 return trips on 126/7 at 1550 (the only 2 weekday trips that BI do on 126/7). Used to be allocated a Gemini but I believe it is now allocated a Darwen B9 (which are being Frequented or its allocation replacement) Penfold

I had to double check what I saw because an Arriva Sapphire E400 was at Leeds University, out of service. Using the University access Road to U turn.
What was it doing up here
One of the National express 561 Leeds - London journeys serves Leeds Uni around 3/4pm and uses the access road to turn around.

There are 3 peak time X41 journeys that start from the Leeds general infirmary. Think it 16.35 17.05 and 17.35 so it may have been positioning for one of those journeys
