I was surprised to see that as well. I'm geussing that the new depot will be used for some repair work for First West Yorkshire, as the new building is huge! Looks to be a lot of garage space in there from what I saw. I could be wrong though.

Them new lights on them types of bus don't half look pathetic if you ask me!
Maybe it was just what they had to hand. From what i can gather they are LED lights, and are fitted on most new buses' rear lights. Maybe its a change of policy to put these types of lights on buses which lights need replacing, as these types last longer and are clearer (apparently). Other than that I don't know.

The use of LED lights does seem to be increasing on various types of vehicle and indeed they do appear brighter.
As for the visiting Dart, perhaps he is just fed up of Huddersfield and wants to head to the big city to hang out with the other folk in the new place.

Here for a re-paint. Quite a few vehicles from Huddersfield/Halifax & South Yorkshire have been done @ Kirkstall and they will continue to do so at Hunslet Jason JML8371

The new LED's should be brighter than what they replace (at least on the ex Bristol Olympians) but could they not have found a design that looks better quality rather than something you would pick out of the bargain bin at B&Q?

Looks a bit tacky to me. I'm a big believer in keeping things original. Mind if it was up to me I'd stick with the original destination blinds, rather than changing everything to LED!

10022 has had these for quite some time (a year or more??) - possibly part of a rear end rebuild at some point? The bendis seemt to have a habit of getting into scrapes and I imagine this was just a 'one-off'.

Is it still a two-vehicle facility like at KR? (As an aside - it seems a little obscure that Huddersfield is having what seems like its entire Dart fleet repainted at Leeds into another coat of Barbie 1, whilst Hunslet Park itself still has a handful of vehicles awaiting repaint out of Barbie 2...!)

The retrofitted rear LED lights do look rather tacky on the buses listed above. It would be better if First would retrofit new body panels so the LED lights look more original as such. However that wouldn't happen as the engineering costs would go up through the roof and eat into profit margins.
