My sympathies with them, hope they manage to catch the people who did it, and I hope they pay for what they've done and get punished as severely as possible

Whose would be responsible for fixing the vehicles?

Whose would be responsible for fixing the vehicles? The vehicles will be under warranty, so I imagine they would go back to ADL? The buses are owned by South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority/Sheffield Council, so imagine it'd be there responsibility to take the buses back to ADL.

Presumably paid for by their insurer.

My sympathy is with the company, however where the sheffield depot is its quite an undesirable rundown area, first and stagecoach 137 service have pulled out if the area quite a few times before now due to robbery and violence, not the companies fault but not one of the better areas of the city as I say

I notice quite a few people on social media and involved with the bus industry are blaming the company and the combined authority. No don't blame them, blame the people who did it! No excuse for what they did, hopefully whoever did it, will pay for the damage and more.

I Agree the people (apparently 3 known bus spotters) who did it, but it's fair to say it might not have been the best idea to park up 3 new electric vehicles in the middle of the city centre overnight with little to no protection.

Bearing in mind how fast these idiots were identified, I'd say it was a good move to park them at the interchange with all it's CCTV, and a totally beyond doubt brainless move by the idiot society who thought it a good idea to steal a bus from the interchange with all it's CCTV, then park it up after complete with all it's damage! I'm more surprised they managed 56 miles without the police acting bearing in mind they were driving a damaged bus around for several of those 56 miles after it crashed.

Its not the first time it's happened at Sheffield interchange, it happened with one of the old freebie centros with an ex employee, they found the bus at lowedges, he got dismissed by the compony and as revenge he took a bus from the stack and drove away, however he was still.in uniform, so no one was the wiser until the police called the company
