I noticed one of Arriva Yorkshire's old presidents operating in Blackburn the other day, still in Arriva livery. Does anyone know which operator has it?

Any news on any new buses for AY ??, surely some must be on their way, selby must be due to get rid of all the presidents , no doubt it'll be Wakefield ( who get everything ) who get the new ones and poor relations selby with their hand me downs. Maybe the 268 is due an upgrade too .. 9 year old buses on Hecky's top route ?? Or even the 281/3 , a lot of doubles used on these recently , maybe the singles no longer meet demand ?? Thoughts anyone

Thoughts anyone it wouldnt be for 281/282/283 as they only have surplus deckers on (as I've said before). 268/268a also have 1519-1521 with 1522/23/36 as spares and when theyre not need on 229 so thats 6 5yrs old buses used with the eclipses commanders lowlanders and pulsars appearing on the runs as well. Alsi the hecky e400s are 8 yrs old as the are all 58 plates.

Belle Isle 25 (1 Commander and 24 Spectras), Selby 9 Presidents and Dewsbury 2 (No prize for guessing) excluded from the 36 shown is 662

Wakefield recently have had 17 new enviro 400's, 22 new enviro 200's , they received the majority of the gemini's ( I know they hardly have any now )

Thoughts anyone Yes, if AY, were successful in presenting a presentation to Arriva PLC, that AY should have some new vehicles, sent to AY instead of to ANE or ANW or AM, then, obviously, as Head Office of AY, they would probably get the majority of any incoming vehicles. Just like, (slightly off group), First Leeds, is the Head Office, and has taken most of all FWY's new vehicles, in most of the batches, they've received, in the past few years. Bradford have taken 10 off this last delivery of, was it, 37?. Halifax/Huddersfield got some on 64 plates, other year. And, if, I wanted to correct the age of Hecky's E400's, they are actually 7 years & 8 months old. Lol They weren't taxed until Oct, when 1900 was launched, outside The Media Museum, Bradford as Little Miss Sunshine, on October 7th 2008. Only persons present, were Management from Head Office and Heckmondwike, Heckmondwike Long Service Awardee's, a few members of the public, who were curious, T&A reporter, and Children from two Cleckheaton School's, that had picked the 14 Little Miss/Mr Men names, that 1900 - 13 would wear......oh and me, before I started my late turn that day.

Selby couldn't keep the Spectras on the road due to them overheating on long runs and guess what happened when they came back to Belle Isle ......! Sent via SM-G901F from Penfold on the road.

Fire Brigade were called and found heat spot in fuel tank, used a grinder to cut out a panel to get to fuel tank, where they found two wires not taped off, but, touching together causing the smoke. All Hecky's and Selby's Presidents were then taken off road to be Checked by Crossroads, luckily, that was the only one. 693, then went back to Plaxton to be repaired.
