Overall seem like some positive changes
Would be nice for the new limited stop service to go to Liverpool though to provide a Bradford-Liverpool link. One for the future?

Overall good, nice to see Bradford get a "fast" service, shame that Pudsey loses one train per hour to Leeds/ Bradford, though obviously there are a few buses on that corridor.
Are there any other changes expected for December?

Still three trains an hour though calling at New Pudsey. Yeah, I just thought that if it was "major" enough for the Blackpool service to stop at (which doesn't stop at Bramley or Sowerby Bridge etc) then it'd have the "fast" Calderdale servie stopping there too. I know there must be some "losers" when an overall improvement takes place. Will this be the first "non stop" Leeds to Bradford service in a few years?

I'd like to see one of the Manchester Vicotria services extended through to the North Wales Coast or Chester. There are some good places to visit in that region that are a nightmare to get to by public transport. Northern do seem to be doing a good job with identifying areas to increase services and offering more "express" trains. The Leeds-Sheffield fast is doing very well, with the new Nottingham fast coming into service soon. Now there is the new Leeds-Bradford-Manchester fast service. Perhaps they will start to offer a trolley service or seat reservations for these services?

It could be possible that Arriva Trains Wales to extend their hourly Llandudno-Manchester Piccaddilly to Leeds via Huddersfield. As I'm sure it could solve some capacity issues that have arisen recently between Leeds and Manchester.

Is there track capacity between Manchester and Leeds? (with one stopper an hour from Staleybridge to Huddersfield, one from Huddersfield to Leeds and another from Mirfield to Leeds)
When are TPX meant to be getting an extra coach for their 185s? (or was this forgotton about, like the extra Pendalino coaches)
Would be good to see a direct train to North Wales, but not sure they could squeeze it in. Then again, one of the "pinch points" for the Llandudno - Manchester service is west of Picadilly, so maybe sending it to Victoria would make some sense? They've talked about sending some Leeds - Huddersfield - Manchester trains via the Staleybridge - Victoria line before, haven't they?

I know there must be some "losers" when an overall improvement takes place. Will this be the first "non stop" Leeds to Bradford service in a few years? Fat lot of use if you are one of the losers! I'm one of the people who commute off Walsden station, most days into Manchester, and in the present iteration of the timetable we are to lose 9 peak time services a day - far and away the most on the route (where overall most stations will gain and only a few will lose one or two trains). The reason given to us was that this was to accommodate the new, faster trains, but the reality is that the stoppers are scheduled to take the same time from Halifax to Manchester regardless of whether they stop at Walsden or not. The "new and improved" service will result in a one train per hour return service to Walsden from Manchester in place of the current two an hour service for the time between 4pm and 7pm, the evening peak period. From the straw poll I've conducted to date some people living in this community will have no alternative other than to considering moving house rather than spend another 30 to 40 minutes a day. or possibly up to an hour and a half if they cancel a train or the one you go for is too crowded, waiting around on that draughty old barn of a station, Manchester Victoria. Can anyone top that for a poor deal? WalsdenRailUser
