As long distance services they probably don't want to get stuck behind 40s and 56s stopping at every stop and taking ages loading up. I expect most people on York Road use First and probably have their prepaid tickets. Hi Wyb, my place is on 163/6 and 19/19A/40 routes and I use 163/6 with an Arriva pre-paid M ticket. Used it for first time since new buses on Thursday. Very impressed. Just curious.... is your York Road patronage suspicion based on the higher First service frequencies? I would sooner they did use the guideway as I'm convinced it's faster when there are genuine traffic hold ups.

1960 was working a '410' Pontefract to Leeds service at about 6:30 last night. This board must interwork with a 163/166 service because it always used to have a 'hybrid' working it when they were Castleford based.

This reminds me of when I saw route 163/66 Volvo B5LHs on route 410 last August Bank Holiday. I reckon the Mon-Sat eve and Sunday service on route 410 is regularly double-deck.
