One bus confirmed lost to the flooding in Airedale was the blue Marshall bodied Dart used by a local sexual health charity. This the one which belongs to HALE and was fished from the River Aire in Baildon The 11-tonne vehicle, owned by Shipley charity Hale, smashed through a metal fence and swept 100 yards downstream as the Aire burst its banks and raged through Baildon on Saturday. The converted 35-seater was picked up by the racing floodwaters and pulled from its garage base behind Carpet Warehouse on Otley Road. It was flung through a fence and became lodged on a bank behind B&M stores, from where it was rescued this morning by a heavy haulage truck. Hale’s chief officer Natasha Thomas was close to tears when she first saw the wrecked bus, which is used to teach healthy living and give sexual health education to youngsters across the Shipley area. I had problems with the link to the T&A where it had been reported you might need to page down a bit for the picture and don't play the initial film

Tiger are making changes due to the closure of Elland Bridge
services 343 and 563 operating via long wall between Elland and West Vale due to closure of roads leading to Elland Bridge.
Also sorry to report that the 901 huddersfield to hebden bridge is terminating at mytholmroyd before the bridge due to traffic and obstructions
Plus from yesterday delays on services X58, 562 and 561 due to road closure at sowerby bridge around long chimney due to accident

The flooding at Arrow Coach Travel in Brighouse has apparently claimed 1 coach, which is expected to be a write off & left 2 others with electrical problems. I passed the depot the other day and one coach in the yard had a water mark along the side about 3ft from the ground.

Apparently, according to the local Calderdale and Kirklees papers, Elland bridge has been condemned and a new bridge will have to be commissioned. Initial estimates reckon it will be at least December 2016 before the new bridge is open and operable. In all honesty, i don't really know which bus services will be directly affected/diverted, but i do know the Calderdale way will now be absolute hell for any commuter whether using public transport or not.

Elland to/from Halifax shouldn't be that much of an issue, as you just access the Calderdale Way one junction earlier at Elland Riorges Link.
Elland to/from Brighouse is more of an issue as all traffic will now have to go via Rastrick, and which ever route you go involves steep or narrow roads, humps, traffic calming, more mini roundabouts than you can shake a stick at etc etc.

My experience is that the parking is not illegal and to be honest most residents might have little or no option where they can park.

Confirmation of what is happening with the 564 It is running via Rastrick between Elland and Brighouse TJ Walsh are running an additional shuttle service between Brighouse and the end of Elland Bridge every 30 mins at peak times, with a handful of trips between Brighouse, Elland Bridge, West Vale and Elland during the daytime. www.tjwalsh.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Park-Road.pdf
