Anyone know which buses in Leeds are currently fitted with guide wheels?
There's been a lot of changes lately, and the list I have is out of date

Anyone know which buses in Leeds are currently fitted with guide wheels? There's been a lot of changes lately, and the list I have is out of date All of Cherry Row's Scania L113s are still fitted, as are all L94UBs that remain there. I would imagine that the L94UBs that have moved to Kirkstall have lost theirs. The fitted ALX400s at Cherry Row are, as I understand, 30854-70 plus 30916-38. Some but not all of the 31142-7 batch are also fitted. All new B7RLEs at Cherry Row are also fitted, but the 4 on 07-plates are not. Bramley has 32431-50 fitted together with all 13 of its remaining ALX400s (though the ALX400s do need checking, as there are now more Geminis fitted). Hope this helps.

That all sounds right but one question is regarding 30854 and 30916-20. These are the ALX400s that used to be branded for the Yellow and Green Line, so would possibly not have guide wheels?

Last time I checked, 69339 did not have guide wheels fitted as that is the fifth bus used for the Wetherby's.

Sorry, ignore 30854 and 30916-20 from the list originally quoted, these have long been without guidewheels. (The original list was from memory so please excuse the errors!) 30855-70 are fitted, and are nominally the Route 56 fleet, and 30921-38 are also fitted for 18/18A, 56 overflow, some Scott Halls, etc. Note that 30921 was branded for the old Yellow/Green Lines but retained guidewheels in spite of this and was rarely found on the 2/12. Upon repaint it has lost its branding and remains on guideway routes. As I understand it the only ALX400s to come off the 2/3/12/13 are the newer examples (those on 52-plates), and as stated earlier only some of these have been retrofitted with guidewheels.

For the benefit of anybody who keeps records of such things it appears Bramley Gemini 32439 has lost it's guide wheels, noted today on the 49 with just the guide arms in place.
I also noted ALX400 30943 back on it's old haunts on the 50 and this appears to have re-gained it's guide wheels. It may be recalled that 30941-944 lost their guide wheels earlier this year.
The loss of guide wheels on 32439 breaks the neat sequence, 32431-452 all of which were so equipped for services 40/50.

A follow up to the previous message is that 32439 is only temporarily without it's guide wheels and should have them refitted by the end of the week.
