Found an article on this website:
omnibuses.blogspot.com
It states that Loonat Coaches are carrying a sign on their bus threatening anyone that takes a photo of their vehicle. I think I also read on TWY that someone received warnings from Paul's Travel about photos. What is it with these tin-pot operations and the threats to members of the public? Surely this is not the sort of company Metro should award tenders to?
The comments on the blog about this article are also quite interesting.... they mention the reason for wanting to stop photography being that the drivers are possibly on benefits or have some other shady past that means they do not want their photos taking!

Can I just state that this is not the opinion of the website's owner, infact those of people who have left comments.

Ive taken recent pictures of both Loonat Coaches and Pauls Travel/Sunny Travel vehicles and had no problems.
They carnt stop people from taking pictures of their buses. Some drivers are against it and show that when you take a picture of the bus they are driving. But a howl company going against it is going a little to far.

It's not so much a problem taking photos of buses (provided you are not encroaching on private property of course). However, buses usually have people on them, particularly a person is more often than not sat at the front offside of the vehicle. People can refuse their photo taken, and it is also impolite to do so without permission.
I'm not saying no-one should take bus photographs, but a company is within its rights to ask you not to. If drivers are giving you a V sign next time you take a photo, bear in mind that you might not like to be photographed by a stranger without warning while you are at your place of work.
