The next round of service changes are just a month away (31st May) - are there any major upcoming changes in West Yorkshire, or will there just be small timetable amendments?

I think the May change mainly exists to facilitate operators introducing their school holiday timetables (and then again there is a change I think the 1st week of September to put them back again). Mind you, this isn't to say that the operators can't make more major network changes in May.
On a related note has anyone else noticed how a large number of timetables have still not been made available from last weekend's change?

I have noticed that the 28 is now back in the bus station as of sometime in may. What is all that about?

I believe the May change is 'timetable changes only'. I.e they are only allowed to change the times to improve reliability, not make network changes
There is also an extra 18th May change date for First Leeds in conjunction with the new depot opening which was covered in the April Changing Times

Attached are details of May's service changes. www.wymetro.com/TravelNews/ChangingTimes/CTMayJune.htmThere is a note about Huddersfield Bus Company taking over Stagecoach routes from 11th May, but nothing about K-Line. Is it definately true that Centrebus also purchase K-Line as I haven't seen any K-Line buses with "Huddersfield Bus" transfers.

The latest issue of BUSES magazine helps to explain things.
CentreBus have created CentreBus Holdings and it is them who have acquired both Stagecoach Huddersfield and K-Line. They own non of the other CentreBus operations.
They are operating the Stagecoach operation as The Huddersfield Bus Company, a longer term name is being looked into. K-Line will stay as it is at the moment.

Thanks for clearing that up! Hopefully a good livery will be chosen, rather than the terrible orange and purple of Centrebus! Hopefully the livery will be red-based..... red always looks good on buses.

Once again Metro, in their publication of this next round of changes, have favoured the generic terminology of 'timetable changes apply to this service'. Things seemed much easier when they used to make effort to describe what exactly this change was so that passengers knew if the change may affect them. In some cases it might only be, for example, one early morning journey which has a re-timing of 1 minute, or as with the latest change to service 5, the change of inbound timing point from Armley Town Street to Ledgard Way but (from what I can tell) no actual timetable changes - shouldn't it just be described to make the change more obvious at a glance?

The Updated the 96 timetable and it says on inbound journeys the last terminus is Leeds York ST for BUS Stn but in the 'map around town' bit they haven't updated the new 96 route. Seems to me like metro just couldn't be bothered

Are these insert maps not provided by First rather than Metro (in the same way First provide the Overground map for the centre pages)?

THE May chaies leaflet includes the 18 may chaies. couldn't the have used 18 may as a change date that's when the trains change? noticed the 616 change is not listed. (prob diff time at 4 lane ends)

That they not be for the Leeds Day tripper that go from Leeds - Fairburn Ings, that's operated by Godsons.

That would make sense, but what use will they be when that service ends (being a summer only service?)

The X16 is a Metro tender which Godsons were successful in winning, to replace the soon to be withdrawn Arriva service.
