Coastliner have published their winter timetable: www.yorkbus.co.uk/cmsUploads/route/files/CoastlinerWinterTT2015web.pdf, which starts on 27 September On the plus side, they have got it out commendably early (much better than in recent years) and they have done a much better job of proof-reading it than they did last year ... I've only had a quick look through and there are no obvious howlers this time. On the down side, the service itself is no better than last winter, with gaps of up to 2 hours to Scarborough and over 2½ hours to Pickering/TLD, and the evening service is back down to hourly.

I'm probably ok with those frequencies in winter, but I think it would be better if the summer timetable was extended to compensate, maybe running Easter to end of October instead. Maybe with a few journeys like the X journeys only running during the current summer timetable period.

Some stand changes in York at the end of the month:
Buses to the university (27, 44 and 66) will now run from Merchantgate, not Piccadilly.
Buses to Fulford (26) and along the Hull Road corridor (X4, 10, 45, 46, X46)* will now run from Piccadilly, not Merchantgate.
Perhaps someone has realised what was going to happen to Piccadilly with double the number of university buses stopping there and waiting for time. (I'm amazed how often buses heading towards the station wait for time at Piccadilly. There really isn't the capacity there for it, so First and Transdev should look at altering the timing points, or moving the slack to the end of the route, to avoid this.)
* technically the 45 and 46 run via the university and not to, so don't try to be pedantic...
