Pranging new buses in Harrogate bus station seems to be habit, one of Versas when new quickly acquired a green stripe off a passing HCT vehicle. It always seems quite tight to reverse in Harrogate with all the buses parked along the back wall

Just caught 3625 on the 00:17 36 from New Briggate, around 35 people on which I think is quite impressive.
On a separate note I thought I read somewhere that 3613/14 would be performing these duties?

A comment was posted claiming that they would be fitted with driver security screens but I thought that was odd given that it would require 100% availability of them to fulfill the timetable. Also TrentBarton have run late night services which Alex would obviously known of and I am not aware of any screens on their vehicles; NCT in comparison appear to fit them as standard and they come across as very oppresive and potentially invite idiots to have a go.

Interesting article with some details not previously published - the desti is linked to the next stop system so presumably the software problems Scott Poole has referred to in his latest Flickr photo captions explain why some journeys southbound from, and northbound from Harrogate, are still showing Harrogate on the display. Not so much of an issue southbound as Leeds is prominent but northbound Harrogate takes precedent in scale on the display over Ripon and there is the potential confusion at the Pier Head stop in Harrogate which is served by 36s both between Leeds and the Bus Station and the Bus Station and Ripon.

Noticed this week the nextbus info has reverted to showing timetabled times only again Yes, Metro Next Bus not showing real time for the past few days on the new buses, although it's been an easy way of identifying where 3613/14 are on the 36 as these two have continued to show real time throughout.

The 36 relaunch is on the front of March's Buses Magazine, with a news story inside.

Currently sat on a new B5TL heading into Leeds having connected from a Tiger Tempo on the 781 and I'm very impressed.
Despite the smaller engine performance is very good, suspension is immense and the seats are comfy. The back row downstairs offers incredible legroom and I like the workstation, even if my bottle of pop keeps sliding!
Overall, great bus, the engine sound is much better than the B9, ride is incredibly smooth and the atmosphere is fab.
I know we don't agree on everything, Alex, but although I still don't love the look of the new style front end Wright put on these, they are still brilliant vehicles. 11/10 from me.

I agree with you Tim! I rode 3622 yesterday. I liked it more inside than I thought I would being the new-style Gemini 3 bodywork. I sat in a solo seat on the right-hand side upstairs and had plenty of legroom as I put my bag and jacket under my seat. All that was missing was that I was not about to land at Leeds Bradford Airport!!

Judging by comments on twitter some revisions are to be made to the timetable. Still no Nextbus real time displays.

Judging by comments on twitter some revisions are to be made to the timetable. Still no Nextbus real time displays. The real time display problems on Metro's next bus system seem to be intermittent, some days no real time is showing for any 36's, other days a few will but others won't and some days probably 95% are showing real time. Apparently it's a temperamental software issue according to a reply on Twitter.

Its not just Metros system that is affected but the bus stops in Harrogate that have real time displays - the one at Crescent Gardens for example counts down the minutes to the arrival of a 3 or 24 but very very rarely for a 36

One oddity compared to previous liveries is that with one exception the rear promotions are duplicated throughout. The exceptions are on 3623 and 3626 which are promoting "Business Class", 3623 with a man (with specs, brown hair, blue jacket) while 3626 has a woman (with black hair, black suit). The rest being 3615 3619 Hello Harrogate (blonde woman) 3616 3625 Night Times (Woman with red handbag) 3617 3624 Shop Drop (Woman with red lips) 3618 3621 Loving Leeds (black and white horizontally striped t shirt man & woman) 3620 3622 Dinner Date (Man with specs, grey hair, bow tie) 3627 3628 Meeting Room (Man, white shirt and tie)

Tweet from them re the lack of real time displays "a widespread issue, we are working hard to resolve with the supplier. Sorry - but doing our best behind the scenes."
How widespread is it?

Tweet from them re the lack of real time displays "a widespread issue, we are working hard to resolve with the supplier. Sorry - but doing our best behind the scenes." How widespread is it? I suspect in this context they mean it's widespread among anything that's using the latest software and will probably only apply to newly built vehicles. Certainly in our locality it's only the new Gemini 3's which seem to have a problem, everything else (Transdev, First etc) appear to show real time ok. At least I can now safely predict when 3614 ( and 3613 when it's at Harrogate) will turn up on the 36 as they continue to show real time and therefore stand out in a sea of scheduled times. Also I've noticed the wifi appears to be none existent on some of the new buses, I assume this is also just down to teething troubles.
