The 622, 623, 626 and 627 routes are to become the Purple Line from the end of April. The B9TLs that have been allocated to this route will be branded respectively. I don't know which routes are been dropped to simplify it two routes in line with other Overground routes in Bradford.
I had always wondered why these routes were not given Overground status before as it was the only frequent batch of services that were not allocated a colour!

The fact that there is no service evenings and sundays Shipley to Eldwick and Wyke to Scholes was probably the reason, and the number of service numbers used
Thesedays when Overground rules are less strict they can probably get away with it

I would reckon that they will withdraw the 625 service in place of the 626 as the 625 doesn’t alter from the 626 weekday service. This is what I put in the other thread about theses services becoming a Overground service: Introduce a 622 service on Sundays. The 622 could then go on Sundays from Scholes-Brighouse Bus Station to join the layover which happens at the Bus Station. The Scholes-Bus Station part could easily make it in 10 minutes as it could go Scholes Lane,Walton Lane,Highmoor Lane,Common,Clift Road,Wakefiled Rd,Elland Lane then to the bus station that way creating the 20 minutes frequency during Sunday day times. Here is what it would look like during the Sunday day times: 622-Brighouse Bus Station to Eldwick(Route to Scholes/Weekday 622 Route to Eldwick) 626-Brighouse Bus Station to Baildon(Weekday 626 route) 627-Brighouse Bus Station to Shipley Glen(Weekday 626 to Bradford/624 to Shipley route) On Evenings the 622 could do the Brighouse Bus Station to Bradford Interchange part of the route with a different service number doing the eldwick route specially allocated to do that part of the journey.

The 625 goes a different way into Brighouse than the 626/627 does Although it would be better if the 627 replaced the 625 at this point meaning the 626 could replace the 627 leading to one less service number used

Why not divert the 627 route into brighouse via the present 625 route!!!!

There are no changes due to take place to these services from the end of April, so this Purple Line will presumably just be applied to the network that is already in place.

Well about time although the whole network (622-627) could do with been simplified.
And what happens to the 624 as that is well it is own little route nothing to do with 626/622/623!!

I suppose the 622, 623 and 626 will remain as they are and those will be the routes that feature on the Branding. After all three routes to a colour is acceptable rather than six!

so then we have if im correct:
37063-37066-blue line 72 (4 buses) 37067-37070-pink line 617/18 (4 buses) 37071-37078-red line 640/1 (8 buses) 37079-37087-blue line X6 (9 buses)
so it maybe that 37088-37097 (10 buses) for purple line 622/3 and 626/5 and then the rest for either 636/7 orange line or 645/6 green line which would be 37098-37102 (5 buses)

should imagine that they will just be routes 622 and 626 and will be designed similar to the 33/33a in leeds where they just go to a different final destination.

Just to confirm that looking at the new timetable it appears that the 625 and 627 are officially part of the Purple Line along with their daytime counterparts - unusual as in Leeds for example, evening/Sunday only services (e.g. 16A, 37A) are not 'officially' included as part of the Overground line.
I'm not too familiar with the 622-627 routes but, as others have said, it does strike me as odd that the 626 gets renumbered 625 with a different route in Brighouse, and then the 627 covers the 626 route? Is there a good reason for this?

That new timetable is quite messy.
The 624 should have been put on a different leaflet as it has no common ground with the core Purple Line service
That evening and sunday 627 bit via Wrose sticks out like a sore thumb. Personally I think they should run the 627 via Manningham Lane and divert the 650 via Wrose instead
You are quite right that with the 625/7, that one number could be removed by an easy bit of swapping around as the 625 runs identical to the 626 north of Bradford and the 627 runs identical to the 626 south of Bradford

624 is the daytime Coach Road-Wrose-Bradford link so appears on the 627 leaflet rather than 675 leaflet as it doesn't follow the same route. 625 was used as the evening\su variation in BAILDON to serve part of coach road (this is now also 626 rote). Later 625 diverted via Hove edge to cover withdrawn first Halifax service. i presume this service was used as the timingr fitted better with others in the area ie 571.

only 8 buses then for the X6 route seen 37087 on manningham lane today on 623 although the writing for the branding needs to be added. would be intresting to see wether they do green line 645 on the older geminis 37056 now painted in b3
