Today i noticed that,
5772 30917 W772KBT 5706 30851 W706CWR 5702 30847 W702CWR
all have had their guidewheels removed. Take it they're not to be used on the busways again! anyone else noticed any other vehicles without their guidewheels?

Well the YU52 batch of ALX400s have had their guide wheels reinstated so I assume that these older ALX400s will be utilised on the Red and Blues instead.

oh right never realised they'd had them taken off, but an older W plate alx400 vs a 52plate alx400 on the Red & Blue lines with new buses i think i know what i'd prefer

30921 was the Yellow/Green Line branded ALX400 which had guide wheels fitted and made regular appearances of the 56!

When 30916-21 moved to Cherry from Bramley in May/June'04 the 2/12 branding was applied to them all very shortly afterwards at a time when most if not all still had their guidewheels.

Bramley based 30942/943 have both had their guidewheels removed and were in use on the 49 today providing additional low floor capacity to this route which in recent times has seen more step entrance buses than in the past.

Further to yesterdays note Bramley based 32449/450 now have the guidewheels lost by the two ALX400's.

Some of the CRG B7TL's will be loosing their guidewheels (If they have them), ready for them to be transfered to Huinslet Park when the red/blue line services move there in a few weeks time. (This is because the Kirkstall/Hunslet Park drivers are mostly not trained on guideway operations)
