There is a press release on the whittle website about the sale and has mentioned that it is down to operating loss making of the subsidery and that EYMS can no long afford to subsidise them. It also goes on to mention that if a buyer can not be found then the operation will be closed.

The on line vosa site yesterday(18/11/14) shows Whittle have deregistered all bus services from 5/1/15. Whittle's website reveals that two routes finish this month but no mention of Jan 2014 Maybe Whittles attracted few if any serious offers, meaning that EYMS have found it necessary to dump the remaining network. I reckon the website has not mentioned Jan '15 in case or in the hope of the operation being rescued by then.

Whittle has been sold to Johnsons Coach & Bus Travel of Henley-in-Arden. They no longer operate bus services and buses are coming back to EYMS either individually or in groups. So far, 154-155 YX03 MWG-J, 157-159 YX56 HVF-H, 170 YX04 JVW, 171-172 YX57 BXB-C and 173-6 W414-7 JAT have returned. Apparently 22 YX07 HJJ , 83 YX07 HJF, 156 YX03 MWK and 160 YX56 HVJ are due back soon. No others have been mentioned, they update their Twitter often so keep an eye out. twitter.com/eymsenthusiasts
