Notices have appeared at the front of Bradford Interchange in the last few days which state that the short stay car park at the front entrance will soon be permanently closed and the area will only be a taxi/drop off point.
I know the area at the front of the Interchange is somewhat cramped but does it really need to be closed? Anyone any ideas why this is being done by Metro? Is the area going to be remodelled etc as part of this?

It is closing because some one was killed by a taxi last year in the car park

I expect some are parking there much longer than what can be considered 'short stay', plus people parking not in marked out bays, including taxis. It's so tight I find it hard the shophopper used to go from there, but some how it did.

daft idea closing car park...typical Metro though.
Pride of the Road when they operated the shop hopper used Leyland Nationals...the car park was slighlty bigger back then ;-)

It's re-opened btw. The central parking area is no longer in use and the outer area has new markings. There is still some short-term parking available.
