Also went to Metro 40,I Thought it was a good event & was surprised by how many vehicles turned up.
I Went on the 220 Bradford bus on its first trip but broke down (lack of fuel) about 5 mins into its journey,Huddersfield 473 Came & filled in but it was nice to see 220 was back in service a few hours later.Managed to get a few vehicles in & also the depot tour (Even though the "line up of its newest vehicles" turned out to be 1 Eclipse 2 & T663VWU.One of depot managers also gave some info over future vehicle movements concerning Bradford Depot.
The Weather seems to be mostly good (not as bad as the forecast made out!) so it was a good day

Events like today's make me think its a shame more of the Interchange's original features were not retained. When you consider all the debates about Preston Bus Station, the Interchange was just as iconic back in the day.

Been today, not as many West York's buses as expected, don't know if some need MOT's but would of liked to of seen 5507 and 1700 and probably a few more WYRCC there but I do hope First do some heritage repaints since Manchester/South York's have. I also hope non of the cabs were damaged with the amount of people cabbing them,it was also nice to see Bradford's last Trolleybus there, is this it's first visit to the city centre since it finished in service.. No 844 been coming to the hertiage open day at City town for the last 10 years

I'm surprised they allowed you to bring a bus all the way from Todmorden when they have a fleet of buses parked up 5 minutes away!

The red tow truck departed Jacobs"Well around 15.30-15.45ish towing the trailer that looked like a railway carriage parked next to 5024. 844 was probably towed back to Keighley by one of the Matadors.

Good day. Glad the weather held out. As previously noted a good few people saw fit to take photos from the middle of the road,a few narrowly avoiding being run over by the slugs on the 72.
I went on: 3835 York on the depot tour 473 Huddersfield 5504 WYPTE 6294 WYPTE 8534 WYPTE 220 Bradford

I know, you should see all the dents and scrapes on these ones due to small yard, its easy to catch one Only main issue we have been having is at the bottom of hills by Tod railway station & Bottom of hill going upto Cross Lee the rear bumpers are getting ripped due to the lower back end on Solo SR's compared to the old Solo. They are keeping up with repairs & they are trying to find ways of making it not happen.

So today First SY held yet another depot open day, and have painted a Gemini in the old South Yorkshire Transport pte era livery. This goes alongside the other vehicles in old liveries. First Manchester have of course also got a range of buses in the old corporation liveries.
Isn't it annoying how First WY have basically done nothing, no special liveries and no depot open days or any other official events (Excluding the very limited Bradford depot tour at Metro40 which was obviously organised by one or two people rather than a full corporate event).
I wonder why nothing "official" ever gets off the ground in WY?

Sadly there is always a element at these events that are too enthusiastic to put it one way, and will dart across from bus to bus as if getting that particular photo is life or death. A good enough event but a shame it was 'unofficial' and there wasn't an official event with Metro involved, having a stall, First involved with a stall, their buses on display in the city centre etc. It is totally different in South Yorkshire with Midland Road open yesterday and a display of all the First Buses in the old liveries the latest 524 being in SYPTE livery. First did support it with some very senior mangers at the event
