After First introduced a weekly ticket for Halifax, Huddersfield now has their own ticket, as of Sunday 8 September. The ticket will cost £12 and valid on all First services in the Huddersfield area. However, the ticket can't be used in places like Holmfirth, Marsden, Meltham and Slaithwaite. The ticket is valid on the whole routes of the 200, 262, 301/302, 306, 307, 323, 327, 328, 342, 356, 358, 360, 370/371, 372, 373 and 387. The ticket is also valid on the following services between Huddersfield and following places: *Ainley Top on services 501/503 *Berry Brow (Golden Fleece) on services 308, 310, 314 and 316 *Bradley Bar on services 363/X63 *Fartown Bar on service X6 *Fixby on services 547/549 *Golcar (Town End/Library) on service 303 *Lepton (Pond Lane/Wakefield Road) on services 231/232 *Linthwaite (Hoyle House Fold/Manchester Road) on service 181, 183, 184, 185, 186 *Lockwood (Lockwood Road/Swan Lane) on service X11 *Mount (New Hey Road/Mount Avenue) on service 537 *Netherton (Meltham Road/Church Lane) on services 321/324 *Wellhouse (Westwood House at Radcliffe Road/Lower Wellhouse Road) on service 396 www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/calderdale_huddersfield/travel_news/news_initiatives/?item=12941&conf=0www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/calderdale_huddersfield/tickets/explore/www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/calderdale_huddersfield/assets/pdfs/tickets/explore/Explore.pdf

Hardly flexible is it? Suppose its ok for commuting to work but if you wanted to get out and about its pretty restricting.

Hardly flexible is it? Suppose its ok for commuting to work but if you wanted to get out and about its pretty restricting. Not ideal for anyone living in or travelling to places like Holmfirth, Marsden, Meltham and Slaithwaite, who would have to buy the FirstDay off-peak ticket or the FirstWeek West Yorkshire ticket. Surely the ticket would have got more usage if it was extended into those areas.

Typical First in all honesty. They seem to be promoting as a ticket to get 'out and about' with, but as I said its restricting. Think it will appeal to people who travel to work on the bus, who live in the core area and maybe not use the bus extensively on a weekend.
