*2 Aircraft. As the 3rd was going to be part based on behalf of thomson holidays, but they've announced expansion aswell and will use their own aircraft. So it's 2.

Thomson have announced their OWN routes on their OWN metal (looking at the timetable), so no not a part based aircraft. So 2 aircraft as i've already said.

That or a 757, as that is operating the SSH & TFS routes this winter so i very much doubt they want to go from 229 to 189.

Hi Jack There will be no Thomas Cook Airlines aircraft based at Leeds/Bradford anymore. They closed the base and pulled out at the end off October. From now on all Thomas Cook Holiday flights from Leeds/Bradford will now be operated using either Jet2.com or Monarch scheduled services.

Having just looked on the Monarch Website theres a particularly interesting part. "Re-equipping of Monarch Airlines Fleet • The Group is also announcing that it plans to seek proposals for re-equipping the Monarch Airlines’ aircraft fleet ? and is seeking a total of 45 replacement and expansion aircraft for delivery up to 2021 • The re-equipping will enable improvement in service levels to Monarch Airlines’ customers, better asset utilisation and efficiency, and cost savings enabling Monarch to be benchmarked against low-cost competitors • Several older aircraft in the existing fleet are now being retired from service. " Assume that the "Older Aircraft" Will be the withdrawal of the fleet of A300's they have left with Brand new Airbus 321 Aircraft. www.monarch.co.uk/news/flights/2012-news/update-on-trading-for-the-year-and-re-equipping-of-monarch-airlines-fleet
