Transdev are reporting various diversions to services in Wetherby, Boston Spa and Knaresborough tomorrow. HCT/Connexions and Eddie Brown seem oblivious on their web sites despite both also presumably having also to divert in Wetherby and also will be affected significantly by the closure of Oatlands Drive in Harrogate which is used by all the EB services and HCTs 110.

Sunday won't be so bad as not many buses run and Monday will be hectic doing the relay first thing during rush hour on one of the busiest roads In Leeds! I will be seeing mine in Dewsbury.

Can't quite believe how insane Britian has become, millions watching a bit of flame and metal being dragged about gridlocked streets, can't wait for more downpours to put the dam thing out and wipe the grin off the face of the idiot who came up with such an idea. I feel really sorry for all those in Leeds who just want to get to work and finish their shift at the time they're supposed to, I can see many people ending up late and have to stay on to make the time up. Couldn't they do the running overnight if they really have to do such daft event?

There are many more reasons why people get disrupted on a day to day basis, roadworks, accidents, protests etc, most are not as positive as the Olympic torch relay.

We are all having to pay for this one as well, it's Londons games why not confine it London?

What I seemed more annoyed at was the police presence and the fact that it was the Met Police doing the work, rather than giving West Yorkshire's finest a go (and overtime) especially when they know the streets it will be passing through as well as some of the people likely to be lining them.

Does anyone know what will happen to the Streetlites that are used to ferry the torchbearers after the Olympics?

Think using the met as worked wonderfully with local (and not so local ) police as back up for other road closeures using the met through out as meant consitancy . In sheffield we had met, west, north yorks and humberside supporting local police, the met police giving high fives as gone down very very well with the local kids of all ages indeed one friend who is a bus driver pointed out I would normaly get arrested for doing that to a police man - a very good event I saw it at hunslet and in sheffield 3 times
