That appears to be simply the engine has decided to spray oil all up the back, rather than fire damage.

looks like the oil spinner filters gone not many signs of a fire

hello they was a small engine fire after the oil compresser decided to give in was talking to a mechanic and he said it got dragged in and they was there scratching there head and unsure whats happened LOL but they was white foam all over engine and inside and they was a fire engine in attendance

Definitely no fire there. Yeah, to say I saw and heard it just mins before in Elland (Town Hall), The cooling fan was whaling. Always seems to this bus.

Those firemen have a fantastic aim with that foam and didn't spill a drop...

Seems to me a common oil problem as ive seen a number of buses/caoches end up looking like this after something has gone wrong within the engine bay...... These things happen from time to time but does not look to be any signs of a fire.

Those firemen have a fantastic aim with that foam and didn't spill a drop... I bet first would be happier if they spilt a little drop then have the bus burnt out. Its only a 04 reg however so .... I have to admit though i giggled at your post ....

I may be wrong but if there was a fire, I would expect below the engine cover to be intact if not the engine cover would have melted. Does anyone agree?

Looking through my pics of buses which have been on fire ,gereraly speaking if its a engine compartment fire then the engine cover is involved , however sometimes the bit below the compartment can get involved , preseumably due to dripping liquids that then catch fire

I see, because I also remember seeing a pic of a Volvo Olympian which seemed to have a similar problem when its rear was all black and the bodywork seemed to be intact and no damaged pieces.

That is a conrod thrown through the side of the compressor-very common on B7L/TLs unfortunately.

anyone remeber this-5027 bradford traveller CUB27Y had a really massive upper deck fire and was rebuilt and put back into service!!!
