If they are going on the 301/302 Golcar circulars, they should have ordered the Max version instead.

I have seen the hybrids in service. Shame they have normal bus seats.

Arriva Hybrids, 1700/1/2*/3/4/6/7/8/11 are in use on the 163/6 today with the odd ALX400 and Tempo 1301. I will start adding my photos to my flickr page tomorrow evening when I return home from Doncaster, Got a few shots of the Hybrids and such *1702 was been driven around Cass with the destination set to "I'm Alive" in front of some quite large news team cameras

Just had my first ride on one of Castlefords 'hybrid' Gemini's, (1708). Nice piece of kit. Good comfortable ride (even over the numerous speedbumps in Allerton Bywater and Kippax areas). Impressed with the acceleration speed up the hills too. Enjoyed that.

Live on the route and very pleased with the new buses.
The livery is perhaps a bit rash though? Quite a deviation from the usual Arriva buses so customers may not recognise as Arriva from a distance.
If they must have a different livery for hybrid then I think a two tone green design of the current intraurban livery would have been better (light green instead of the aquamarine, darker green on the skirt). I like how Stagecoach have done green versions of their standard livery for the hybrids.
Would love to see them adapted for the East Leeds guideway too. I often think it is a shame that only First buses now use the guideway when two other big groups also operate many services on the corridor on 163/166/402/403 and 770/771/840/843/844.

Selby vehicles were planned to use the guideway when it initially opened, until they realised the equipped buses would have to be kept away from York, as when coming down off the speed bump in Coppergate, the nearside guidewheel would be ripped off!

Same along dewsbury road that doesnt have a guideway. Arriva gets to leeds quicker than first for the reason of most have first tickets. Sent from my GT-N7100 using proboards

I saw the new buses in Leeds the other day. They look very smart and I like the livery, but where are the fleet numbers presented as I only saw one on the rear? Those three ridiculous small windows do spoil the look somewhat. I guess the buses are longer than the other batches of Wrightbus Geminis, so why not have an extra large window?

And also you don't get stuck behind convoys of 56s, all needing to stop to drop 1 person off at each stop lol

There is an almost visable one above the offside headlights at the front. If you look closely there WAS one just above the offside front wheel. Clearly applied before the three lighter blue sweeping bands were applied over it! Not sure about the the nearside could lost behind some of the later branding..........

It is interesting to see these Volvo B5LHs, like the Gemini integrals, being low-height vehicles. They have a "crushed roof" look, unlike First and Transdev Volvo B7/9TL/5LHs Geminis in the area.

Prob just found the letter saying that they are getring some new buses when they have infact arrived ahaa. I have heard that the enviro400s are heading to the north east while they are being replaced by more of these gemini 2dls. Anyone heard anything about these? Sent from my GT-N7100 using proboards

I for one would be happy if the E400's disappear elsewhere. Horrible bus. More Gemini's would bring Cas depot up to date with the rest of the fleet.

Glad that the E400s are staying. Always annoys me when buses that aren't the oldest in the fleet start to leave.
Speaking of Geminis used on the 415/6 route - the branding is way out of date now. Old style stuff rather then the new bright green based. Strangely says "connecting Selby", rather than "connecting York and Selby" for some reason.

These Geminis seem likely to see off the final step Spectras, and thus the last step buses in Arriva Yorkshire.
