I don't understand why Transdev have 25 year old double deckers in service in Lancashire yet more modern buses like Solo's and B6's are in store. Because the elder Olympians are hounded for Schools, Private Charters, Football Shuttles and so on alike, some sneak out on to main stream service true but not being funny "GooleDriver" but a 28 seated Solo is a small compared to a 74 or 78 seated Olympian which is rather Big

And years before they acquired Blackburn Transport and Northern Blue and their large fleet of older double decks, so unless they can see into the future...!

Well the new Versa's shouldn't be too long now... so they can start withdrawing the B6 sheds now.

Well the new Versa's shouldn't be too long now... so they can start withdrawing the B6 sheds now. 609 was withdrawn due to HDT losing the work to Eddie Brown and Harrogate Coach Travel earlier this year. The Versas won't be here for about 5 months yet!

Thought 609 was at York ? As for the Solo's thought they would of returned to their lessors who would of sold them on outside the group.

Howcome they have the yellow double deckers yet for single deckers it is urban cool livery.

Metro pay for the single deckers, urban cool is the lancashire version that is now obsolete hence why they are now employed in Harrogate & Keighley as are same spec as the MyBus. The double deck do some metro contracts and longer distance cross boundary services to Skipton, and as they dont have low floors, seatbelts etc there is no requirement to brand them as such.

This was subsequently used in Harrogate along with some of the Solos for the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show in mid-September. The only vehicle in now store at York (apart from some of the open-toppers for the Winter) is 601.

Have to say 609s withdrawal was a blessing due to its annoying whistling noise which could be really irritating on a quite Sunday afternoon.

H&D 3604 (X4VTD) is now back in service after refurb. Can't have been far off its first day out judging by the smell of newness I experienced after boarding it!

Veolia has announced that it is looking for a buyer for its 50 per cent stake in Transdev as it seeks to reduce its debt against a background of recent profit warnings. Wonder how long the VTD plates will last therefore and just who might be the buyer.
