Barnsley Road in Flockton will be closed during the day on Saturdays and Sundays, starting from the 9th July (tomorrow) until Sunday 14th August. As a result, services 231 and 232 will be diverted, as it will be unable to serve Flockton, Midgley, Netherton and parts of Middlestown.
Service 231 will be diverted between Grange Moor and Horbury Bridge direct via Wakefield Road (A642) via Middlestown (via 128 route). Service 232 will run as normal between Huddersfield and Emley before turning back along Chapel Lane, Westfield Lane and Paul Lane to Wakefield Road, where the service will continue along to Overton and Middlestown via 231 diverted route. Reverse of diversion routes applies on journeys to Huddersfield.
A free shuttle bus service will operate on a one-way loop from Middlestown via Netherton, Midgley, Flockton, Overton and back to Middlestown. The shuttle bus will run every 30 mins Saturday daytime by Huddersfield Bus and every hour Sunday daytime by Arriva.
Some early morning and late evening Huddersfield Bus journeys and all First journeys will be unaffected and run along normal routes.
