Does anyone know of orders for Rider that never were.
I know of the following.
Rider York 1994, The Scania Striders were going to be N113's instead of L113's and be L registered.
Rider York 1995, The Scania Wright's were going to be Alexander Striders.
Rider York 1996, The plans were for a fleet replacement of 30 buses including new Plaxton Mercedes Mini's and Plaxton Dart's instead the buses went elsewhere to Leeds and Bradford.
First York 2001, The 53 Volvo B7L Wright Eclipse were originally 53 Volvo B10BLE Wright Renown.

If BadgerLine Didn't Taken over Rider in 1995 (Influenced on using Dennis Chassis), the Order of Dennis Lance/Plaxton Verdes, and Dennis Darts/Alexander Dash & Plaxton Pointer ,may not have happened.
The Bodywork Could Have Been on Volvo B10B for Verdes and Volvo B6 for Dashs/Pointers instead.
Some Good Proof is 3001-3006 The 1994 Volvo B6 Alexander Dashs just before Badgerline Take Over.

Not in West Yorks but west York's related :
think 2 wulfrunians were ordered by Rotherham Corp .
When the front entrance RM was done enough parts were ordered for 5 buses the last one was to appear at the motor show in Sheffield Transport livery - now a FRM in Sheffield on meadowhead would be interesting , understand it was to have a leyland engine.

Why was the order changed. These buses looked fantastic for the coastliner fleet.

Why was the order changed. These buses looked fantastic for the coastliner fleet. 1. No room for prams 2. Large over 60 customer demographic, the Commuters weren't exactly accessible! 3. Looming nationwide free travel, therefore when cascaded, there would have been no other suitable work for them.

Didn't the red Dart's at York and Leeds in 1997 were part of a cancelled order somewhere ?

Didn't the red Dart's at York and Leeds in 1997 were part of a cancelled order somewhere ? P889/890 TCV Western National. Mercedes Benz Varios 2401-2404 R401-404 HYG were delivered in Eastern National livery. I did heard back in 2000 that the B7TLs ALX400s at Southampton were in fact meant for Leeds

Another bizarre one. T356/9VWU Alexander ALX200 Dart's delivered to First York in 1999 were due to be Plaxton Pointer boided. A few of the ALX200's also got diverted to Bristol instead.
