While there is a frequent train service from Leeds to London King's Cross, the withdrawal of these flights is bad news for onward travel abroad. It was only fairly recently that BMI withdrew flights from Leeds Bradford to Heathrow.

It was only fairly recently that BMI withdrew flights from Leeds Bradford to Heathrow. Most of us up here in the cold north would be go direct to Manchester Airport for destinations not served out of LBIA. I for one can drive Manchester Airport in an hour traffic permitting

It has been mentioned elsewhere that the airport is already in advance talks with another airline to take over the Leeds/Bradford - London link.

LBA doesn't need London flights. There is a straight road called the M1 and the A1 and a train service which takes 2 hours or less.

LBA doesn't need London flights. There is a straight road called the M1 and the A1 and a train service which takes 2 hours or less. It does if business travellers need fast access to services serving countries not served regularly from LBA.
