Several children have been injured when a school bus crashed into a railway bridge in Derbyshire. The roof of the double-decker bus was ripped off on Works Road, Hollingwood, Chesterfield, at about 0835 GMT. Eighteen children were taken to hospital, many with facial wounds. One was seriously hurt, but the injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. The TM Travel bus was carrying about 20 children to St Mary's Catholic High School in Chesterfield. An article on the Local BBC news this morning was suggesting that the parents of those children who were injured in the accident were considering legal action against the operator.
It was the operator and not the driver, and although the name of the operator was not mentioned there was a picture of the damaged bus on the screen at the time.

The operator didn't tell the driver to drive under a low bridge... Any driver with some form of sense would have seen it coming and seen he was going to hit it however to be fair the company ain't helping matters by having a Single Decker route for the service and a Double decker route for the service.
