Not sure if this was every reported back when these buses were introduced. I only reliased last week end They were named after Mr Men in recognition of the late Roger Hargreaves who wrote the Mr Men Books. Roger was born in 1935 in Cleckheaton, for anyone wanting to know more about him. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Hargreaves

Makes a bit more sense why they did it and on the 268 route too. Arriva do mention Roger Hargreaves when they put the Mr Men on the busese but not where he was from: www.arrivabus.co.uk/content.aspx?id=5511

Thing is though, the 268 goes nowhere near his house, yet the 254 does! There is a blue plaque on his house near the Pack Horse Inn.

I've only seen the Little Misses, not the Mr. Men.
