Towards the end, particularly when it fell under 'Leeds City Link', the fleet changed practically daily.

That's what he meant... Are we presuming the 231/2 First operation will be from Huddersfield depot? They could certainly do with more evening/Sunday operation. Yes, I think it will be the 'First' operation by Firstbus from Wakefield. However, it will not be the first operation if you go back to the Yorkshire Rider days (ex-WR & P Bingley of Kilnsey which ran for a short time as Yorkshire Rider Wakefield - late 80s)

To 'basher37' - I don't think I was very clear in my ramblngs - sorry! I was replying to a comment by another member whether First had ever operated from Wakefield. To my understanding they have not - but going back to the late 80s - Yorkshire Rider ran the 498 Wakefield - Doncaster route for a while after taking over WR & P Bingley concern based at Kilnsey. Surprisingly, a new batch of 5 Olympians entered service (5151-5155) ntable at the time as being the first Olympians with YR to have Cummins engines. Hope this makes sense.
