A UID Class 158 de railed in Halifax today, caused by a landslide next to the Calderdale Royal Hospital. I believe it was the first train into Halifax this morning because I saw it at 8:30

Yes service 2T02 derailed just before Bankhouse tunnel on the Calder Valley line at approx 06.10 this morning. The train stuck a landslip that occurred overnight. Bogie's 1 & 3 derailed and there were 8 passengers onboard the service at the time and 2 crew. Thankfully there were no injuries. There is said to be major under frame damage to the unit involved which is believed to be 158851. Lucky nobody was standing on the pavement above the line when the landslip occurred. i45.photobucket.com/albums/f76/mollylily/b1c970ce.jpg
