Does anybody know anywhere in the area that gives Automatic PSV training apart from the operators, as I don't meet the GCSE grades to get on at First etc. & I don't think I would be very good in a Manual coach plus I don't really need a Manual licence. A lot of other companies won't employ me because of my age apart from Centrebus.

Congrats! Write to the operators, express your interest in joining their team or if they use any particular driving schools?

Honestly, Matty you would be better off gaining a manual licence if you can because it offers you a lot more opportunities. You are only a young man and at present you may feel you would be happier driving stage-carriage buses, but if you marry and have kids etc., you may not want to do late shifts or work unsocial hours, therefore, maybe you shouldnt rule out coach work which may suit your future plans. Go for a manual licence, Remember theres no such thing as a driver with too many qualifications.

I am going to take Manual lessons if there isn't an Auto option available, it's no problem, I just think it would be easier for me in an Automatic. I will get it done at L&T Training in Pontefract. Thanks for the advice anyway.
