The rest are still in build at Blackburn and have 08 plates secured rather than their intended 57 plates.

I don't know about 1801, but 1800 no longer has it's wheel trims! Managed to get my first ride on one the other day. Also noticed that although it is known as a Darwen Olympus, the windows still have East Lancs etched on them.

Nice to see them filtering into the fleet. Think 1803 has been on the road about a week or more now. Imagine the rest are due to follow shortly.

Still, I don't think I've ever heard of a batch delivery as slow as this! And although Arriva is not completely to blame, it certainly shouldn't have promised full entry into service 'by the end of February' without first ensuring that this was realistic!! Impressive vehicles, just a shame that it hasn't been possible to introduce them overnight and really give a noticeable upgrade to the service.

The problem with the buses been drip fed to Arriva is down to problems Darwen are experiencing. They have lost some of their more experienced staff and I imagine problems have arisen as they have moved to Just In Time production with parts and components made by a third party and their parts department was closed to save money.

Now in service are 1805 and 1807 so i presume that several others (e.g 1804/6 etc) are now in service as well.

Nearly all the B9s are now in service, although some are without route branding. I'm still not 100% sure about the colour for the branding though, personally I think it would have looked better in Blue, the same as the 'Connecting Hemsworth' branding.

Some of the Darwens have had their wheel trims removed in the past week or two.
