National Express have recieved their first Plaxton Elite Coach, it looks incredibly nice, But I don't know what to think to the destination below the Windscreen, it doesn't look right, but it is to stop obstruction to the "exceptional visability" (Quoted from Plaxton website):

The low level Destination Gear is nothing new many 1960's coach's had them down there.

Looks fantastic, the led desti is suited down there than mounting it somewhere in the top of the screen!

Selwyn's of Runcorn have recieved some of these for National Express duties so expect them to make an appearance in Leeds.

Only downside is when coaches park in a bay like Leeds the bars in front of the coach will block the destination blind. Even if and when they have side destination people tend to look at front to make sure they are on the right coach. Bet they never thought of that one.

The driver checks them onto the bus so what does it matter if they mis read the desti or cannot see it?

Judging on previous Plaxtons alone, i doubt the ride is upto much, but that is also down to the chassis. I presume it will be safe to drive as it has to go through vigarous tests before being allowed on the road.

You should be able to see the destination in Leeds Coach Station has they can't come right up to the stand boards with their been bollard's at each of the stands.
