The prices of some single fares and local day tickets on First bus are going up in the Bradford, Calderdale and Huddersfield areas from the 25th April 2010. Changes are: Day tickets:FirstDay Off-Peak (Calderdale/Huddersfield): £3.20 now £3.40 FirstDay Bradford £3.00 now £3.30 Single fares:Bradford80p now 90p £1.20 unchanged £1.80 unchanged £2.20 now £2.40 Calderdale90p now £1 £1.20 now £1.50 or less £1.60 now £1.70 £1.80 unchanged £2.40 now £2.50 £2.70 unchanged Huddersfield90p now £1 £1.20 unchanged £1.80 unchanged £2.40 now £2.50 £2.70 unchanged Bradford fare changesCalderdale & Huddersfield fare changes

so Leeds remain the same fares for now? Then Arriva and the rest will follow suit even tho Arriva did say last week that fares will remain the same, they will blame the rise is crude oil etc.

And still no attempt to streamline the fare scales across the county, which should be happening now it is all First West Yorkshire.

This is becoming ridiculous now! Can't they keep the fares the same... after all First are still getting the Diesel at the same fixed price as what they was 5 years ago about 80p a litre so what is their excuse this time!?

As season ticket prices have remain unchanged it looks like First are trying to encourage more use of these............

Personally I think Arriva's next fare rise will be around July when we have our next pay rise.

They obviously are trying to bury bad news as they know Leeds is the battle ground which would cause press coverage, Metro making a statement etc.
