Two questions:
1) Where exactly is the terminus for KDT service 710 at L a y c o c k? Cos with no obvious turning circle and the Tyrer services carrying on, i don't know.
2) Does anyone remember a service (probably early to mid 90's) that passed through Saltaire and was operated with Ikarus bodied Daf SB220's? It's been bugging me for a while cos i used to catch it home from school cos it was less busy than KDT or Yorkshire Rider's routes?
Any help with either would be good, ta!

The 710 to Layc o c k reverses here www.flickr.com/photos/thrashmerchant/3107545504/Passengers aren't officially allowed to ride the reverse, but some do at the drivers discretion ie the pensioners who ride up on the first bus after 0930 in desperation to get the front seat for the return leg!

Just had a look at the Flicker picture of the K&D Olympian. I've searched google earth for the location "Chapel Lane Layc o c k" and there's what looks to be a bus at the junction.
Nothing special but it was interesting to find since your talking about it, it gives an idea of the location in relation to Keighley. I don't know the area to well.

Well noticed, good they happened to take the picture as the bus was doing its reverse. Also search down the road at Highfield, Broster Avenue there is a Zone Bus there too. The 702 goes round the same time as the 710!

Is there a problem with this board not accepting certain words?

Hopefully I have fixed this problem now.
So you can all feel free to say dirty words like Laycock and Scunthorpe.

That's good! Just looking at the flikr picture, does anyone in the know at K&D know how long said vehicle (B521UWW) is going to be around for? Perhaps the member of the same name could enlighten us?!!

Perhaps the member of the same name could enlighten us?!! That will be me then! Not sure exactly, there have been rumours for years about B521UWW and the others going after the summer, the rumours don't always materialise but a few ECW Olympians get withdrawn every year or two. I would imagine it would be when they get more MyBus B10's but don't think there's any plans just yet. I understand it is MOT'd till June. It was me that took the Laycock picture. That was a farewell tour back in 2007 organised when the first of the BMC MyBus arrived. The rumour then was MyBus was going to take over most school contracts hence the farewell tour. Three years later it's still running and even the BMC's left the fleet nearly a year ago!

Thanks! The farewell tour passed me by - wonder if there'll be a finale tour when B521UWW finally goes? Lets hope that isn't for a while yet!

They should run a farewell tour and put it on the 760 one Saturday before it goes.

There was talk of an Olympian running day - using 389 and possibly green 372 and one of the yellow ones before they go. I will announce on here if i hear of one...

They should run a farewell tour and put it on the 760 one Saturday before it goes. How about putting it on the 662,696-698 and the Skipton services as well. It was just over 10 years back when K & D last ran double deckers on these services
