Article in the Halifax Courier highlighting that the stop on Stainland Road in West Vale opposite the school is to be moved 9ft further up the road due to safety reasons, as it will allow further room for buses to pull off the road, and improve road visibility from the nearby junction with Rochdale Road. www.halifaxcourier.co.uk/news/Bus-stop-is-to-move.5979855.jp

So whats the problem, Metro and other such organisations cant win can they , if they keep it where it is and an accident occured then people will ask why it wasnt moved. Around 8 years ago I was in Lancashire / Greater Manchester and I was appalled at the number of bus stops that had not been moved since the days of rear entrance buses. As a result every time the bus stopped at one of these stops it blocked any local side road.
In short if stops need to be removed then move them unless there is a shelter or road signage the cost is minimal
