I think it's a good move by Optare because that thing is ugly. Can't see any liveries that would suit it.

I heard Wilts & Dorset put in an order for some!
Plus it looks as though they have got rid of that Solo+ too

Optare's new double decker is rumoured to be based on the Olympus body and is supposed to be hitting the streets next year

The new Optare double decker will indeed have the Olympus body, the chassis being new. Which I think is a good move as the Olympus body isnt to bad.
The Rapta was pulled not long after the 2008 Euro Bus Expo where it was unveiled. The Solo+ was also dropped. I think in both cases it was the styling and over all appearance that killed them off. The Electric powered Solo+ that was displayed next to the Rapta was re-boded with a normal Solo body and is now the flagship electric Solo that Optare are working on.

I think the Rapta would have looked better with a restyled front dash, but the solo+ was awful. Optare launched the Solo SR which is a fantastic looking bus and the original which still looks fresh and doesn't need restyling.
