this would be so much better to have all the yellow school buses in one place, cherry row has always being a strange small garage, so theres no need for it any more and would make sense just to operate from hp

All the yellow buses are already in one place - at Bramley

The yellow buses at Gelderd Road are operated by CT Plus. I don't know who owns a site at Rothwell but this isn't First either.

Hmm do HP have the space for more buses? I think it's tight already and the staff are having to park on the grass verge outside.

there was plans to extend the depot when the works were done on the flyover and First could buy that piece of land when the construction team have left and also heard would extend to an extra 70 buses. That was late last year when I heard that.

I'm sure there'll be some land available around by the flyover actually either that or under it. Hopefully this will come off.

Cherry row is now going to stay open but only for the yellow buses and school contract buses etc but not for stage carriage work.

I suppose it's for the best, CRG's awkwardness has come to an end, presumably it'll be happening very soon. What routes are going where, and wont some new deckers be required to cover those that interwork with school runs or is this going to continue?

The depot will be operiting Mon-Fri with limeted engerneering support and routes 51, 55, 98 and 99 will be running from HP and the rest will be run by Bramley and will be starting as early as the beggining of October.

so this may hint that this depot WILL close before long when First want to "cut cost". Tends to do things like that downgrade a depot from that to school bus yard then transfer all to HP eventually (even tho they have no room!)

So will some of the Volvo B7TL, Alexander ALX400 get transferred back to Cherry Row for the Schools which aren't MyBus Routes or will they keep the Volvo B7TL, Wright Eclipse Gemini they already have?

I think it'll be the remaining Volvo Olympians & Alx400s to be transferred to CRG for School contract work. But can First afford to have these 'off the road'

I doubt any ALX400s would move to Cherry Row for school work, there is enough Volvo Olympians to cover it
Besides the MyBus and the Bramley Boston Spa & Harrogate schools work, there is very little other schools work anyway
I wouldn't assume that 100% of schools work would be transferred, some odd journeys that interwork on and off other services will probably stay at their normal depot

There are 30(ish) Olympian RH & Royales at Bramley. How many schools do First Leeds operate?

As the unions are involved and people possibly losing their jobs, don't expect this to be pushed through quickly. Expect threat of strike action!
