Leaving Hull by train on Sunday and passing the EYMS garage on Anlaby Road, I noticed at least six (4 double & 2 single deck) Finglands buses parked up. I just wondered if anyone knows why they should be there - and yes, I know they are owned by EYMS.

I thought repairs/maintenance, but it is some distance from Manchester for that wouldn't you think?

160 mile round trip? suppose it would be cheaper to do it in house rather than subcontract the work out so it would be cheaper.

Rather expensive round trip for maintenance in my view, but will I ever find out? Thought Humberside might have known!

Could you make out the type of vehicle as all EYMS buses when acquired or being sold usually go through Anlaby Road.

Sorry Jack, but I had just turned to the window from looking at my timetable as the train passed the depot and simply noticed the distinctive difference in the two fleets' colours.
